Having inherited a vineyard that has always remained in the family, the Haritatos Estate organically cultivates native varieties in Lixouri, Kefalonia, and focuses on promoting the Kefalonian terroir.
The Haritatos Vineyardβs modern boutique winery is located in a lush estate with fruit-bearing trees, an olive grove, botanical gardens, medicinal plants and vineyards, centered round an 1863 farmhouse. In this unique microclimate, they produce local varieties such as the Vostilidi, Mavrodafni and Moschato, ensuring that they maintain and convey both their varying characteristics as well as the particularities of the terroir. These varieties belong
to the P.G.I. (Protected Geographical Indication) category and include the Rombola variety.
The Estateβs future is in wine tourism and it certainly looks promising!
